my quest is pursuing the Great Light. Whenever and wherever I can, I tread the path which light illuminates hoping to capture its radiance. Photography is not just my hobby, it is my passion. ![]() A few things about me and photography: The Film Days I got enamored by photography as a hobby in 1997 while studying mass communications. I was then using a film SLR ( I forgot the brand) which I borrowed from my uncle. Immediately, I was engrossed in macro and landscape photography. My love for nature was complemented by my love for photography. A large chunk of my allowance goes to buying film, developing and printing. After graduating from college in 1999, work got in the way of my hobby and I had to return my uncle's SLR. The Digital Age of Photography I got hired as a Public Relations Officer by a local politician in 2002. The techniques I learned in photography was a helpful add-on in performing my job. Since then, I was exposed to using various digital point-and-shoot and DSLR cameras namely Sony Mavica, Nikon D70, Canon 400D and Nikon D90. Passion for Photography My barkada and I share a passion for the outdoors. Our visit to Anawangin Cove in January of 2009 not only rekindled my old hobby, it ignited a passion. Anawangin's pristine beauty made me realize that I have to take part in the conservation of mother nature. Otherwise, the next generation won't be able to appreciate the awe-inspiring wonders of the natural world. It was at that moment, armed with a 400D and D70, that I said, "what better way to do it than photography." I bought my first DSLR, a Pentax K20d, in March 2009. Since then, I went out of my way to improve my skills in photography by following the blogs of various photography masters, reading books, joining the forum of DPP (Digital Photography Phils) and of course by "shooting and shooting" whenever possible. I joined the Subic Bay Photography Society (SBPS) in January 2010 where I met fellows who share my passion for photography.
The fascinating thing about photography is whenever we look through the viewfinder, we discover the world’s beauty beyond what the naked eyes can see.
YouTube - D' FragilezDuring our trip to San Antonio, Zambales and the beautiful Island of Capones, my passion for Photography was reborn after almost half a decade of hiatus from looking into a viewfinder. It was also instrumental to our "barkadahan's" realization that... more
